Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Washington with a lazy takedown attempt
and Cleaner counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
A swing and a miss from Cleaner.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Washington enables Cleaner to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Washington manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Washington throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Washington working a defensive guard but Cleaner passes into half guard.
Cleaner thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Washington trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Cleaner manages to pass to mount!
Washington on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Washington tries to get out of the position.
Washington tries to hold on but Cleaner pushes him away.

Cleaner has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Cleaner breaks from Washington's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Washington tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Cleaner is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Washington can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Washington knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cleaner on the ground.

Washington wants to control but Cleaner is having none of it.
Washington is looking to improve his position but Cleaner isn't that keen on the idea.
Washington tries to lock up and control but Cleaner gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Washington manages to control the position for a moment.
Cleaner controlling the pace for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like Cleaner might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Let's hope that Cleaner has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Cleaner avoids the attempt from Washington to control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Cleaner takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Washington tries to hold on but Cleaner pushes him away.

Cleaner shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cleaner showed some decent athleticism there.
Washington is trying to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cleaner slows the pace down in half guard.

Cleaner has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Washington tries to hold on but Cleaner postures up.

Cleaner is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Washington has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Cleaner punishing his opponent with strikes.
Cleaner prevents Washington from getting the reversal.
Cleaner tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Cleaner working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Washington turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Cleaner off and cradles Washington's limp body as Cleaner celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Andre Cleaner!
