The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Royler loads up on a big right hand but Fich slips the punch.

Royler throws out a loose jab but Fich uses good head movement to avoid it.

Royler regains half guard, as Fich was trying to land strikes.

Fich throws a strike but Royler rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Fich shoots in for a takedown but Royler shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Royler enables Fich to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Royler manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fich accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Fich throws and elbow that misses. Royler uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Fich's guard. Nice move by Royler!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
