Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sizzle Snappe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Lin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Snappe comes into the arena with The Power blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sizzle Snappe!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roger Lin!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Mauricio Rocha and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snappe gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Lin counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Lin.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lin throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Snappe was covering up waiting for the punch and Lin finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Snappe wants to control from the top but Lin keeps moving.

Snappe doesn't manage to clinch there - Lin circles away.

Snappe fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lin, pushing him back against the cage.

Snappe seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Lin stands up over Snappe, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Lin tries to free his leg and advance position but Snappe is retaining full guard.
Lin looking to sit in guard and control but Snappe gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

A close second round but Roger Lin will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lin can do anything to dispel that myth.

Snappe seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lin does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Lin bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Snappe tries to escape but Lin is in control.
Lin throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Snappe works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Lin is trying to control. Snappe wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Snappe sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lin's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Snappe takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Snappe is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Lin has his hands clasped together but Snappe extends an breaks Lin's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Snappe.
