The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Washington doesn't manage to clinch there - Marshall circles away.
Washington moves to clinch but Marshall breaks away
and Marshall counters with a two punch combo.
Marshall misses with a double jab

and Washington counters with a shoot takedown. Marshall fights it but they end up in guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Washington throws a strike but Marshall rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Marshall throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Washington works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Washington preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Marshall is looking to stand up but Washington won't let him.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Washington holds on and takes a little breather.
Marshall is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Washington looking for a sweep. Not yet Washington, not yet.
Washington bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Marshall's guard.
Washington is looking to work some ground and pound but Marshall has wrist control.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Washington's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Marshall is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Washington controlling from the top position.
Marshall is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Washington chips away with some ground and pound.
Washington lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Washington content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Washington is working Marshall over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Washington has his foot on Marshall's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Marshall works his way back into a safe position though.

Marshall is looking to stand up but Washington won't let him.

Washington has control of Marshall's left arm, preventing Marshall from doing any damage.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Tyler Washington wasn't doing enough on the ground.
The fighters circling - Marshall throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Marshall moves out of range of the strikes.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Marshall throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Left hook, right uppercut from Marshall.
Marshall throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Washington stumbling backwards into the cage! Washington bounces back off the cage towards Marshall, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Marshall lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Marshall celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
