The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stamatis throws a shot to the body.
Brown moves to clinch but Stamatis breaks away
and Brown takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Brown counters with a stiff right hand.
Brown throws a right hand that Stamatis ducks under and follows up with a left that Stamatis also avoids with ease.

and Stamatis counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

and Stamatis counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Brown!

Stamatis is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Brown has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Brown!

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Gipson Brown wasn't active enough on the ground.
