Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Swift (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke McKendrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Luke McKendrick was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swift moves out of range of the leg kick from McKendrick.
Swift throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and McKendrick decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Swift's guard.

McKendrick is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Swift defends it well.

McKendrick has hold of Swift's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Swift manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

McKendrick controls Swift momentarily but Swift frees himself.
McKendrick has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Swift would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

and Swift counters with a nice double leg into side control. McKendrick won't be happy with that.

Swift closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into McKendrick's guard.

McKendrick wants to sweep here but Swift controlling him for the moment.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now McKendrick is on top in guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
McKendrick has knee on belly and moves into mount.

McKendrick is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Swift to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Swift shrugs it off.

Swift has given up his back. Will we see McKendrick going for some submissions?
