Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Olexandr Faroyan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gary Stackstein!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stackstein ducks under a wild hook from Faroyan.
Faroyan tries to clinch up
and Stackstein counters with a lovely straight right hand!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Stackstein is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Faroyan is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

It looks like Stackstein might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Gary Stackstein hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stackstein decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Faroyan enables Stackstein to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Faroyan manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Gary Stackstein showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Let's hope that Stackstein has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well Stackstein has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
