Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Kristo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brais Punk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kristo throws a lazy head kick
and Punk counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Ryan Kristo has been cut.
Kristo circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kristo tries to close the distance and clinch but Punk swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kristo pushes Punk away with a front kick.
Punk misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Punk tries a head kick but it misses.
Kristo wants to clinch
and Punk counters with a head kick. That will keep Kristo thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Punk throws a left and a right that both miss

and Kristo counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Punk tries to break free but Kristo pushes him back against the cage.
Punk drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kristo gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Kristo has Punk pushed against the cage.
Kristo lands a hook that snaps the head of Punk backwards.

Punk wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kristo has him pressed against the cage.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Kristo.

Punk on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Kristo tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Kristo misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Punk.
Kristo lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Punk backwards.
Punk is trying to stall.
Punk tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kristo just stands there and leans against the cage.
Kristo lands with a short shot to the head.
Punk is trying to break the clinch but Kristo is controlling him.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Kristo will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Punk up against the cage.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Punk drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kristo pulls his leg out and moves away.
Ryan Kristo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brais Punk.

Kristo closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kristo lands in his opponent's guard.
Kristo wants to get up but he can't break Punk's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Kristo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Punk works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Punk not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Punk is working an open guard so Kristo takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Punk looks gassed!

Punk gets tackled into the cage by Kristo. Kristo maintains the clinch.
Punk throws a knee to the head but misses.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Punk's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Punk misses with a head kick.
Punk doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Kristo counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Punk tries to roll over but Kristo keeps him under control.

Kristo decides to stand and escape the position.
Kristo moves in looking to clinch but Punk pushes him off.
Kristo throws a head kick that misses.
Punk closes the distance looking to clinch
and Kristo counters with an inside leg kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kristo lands with a hook. Punk tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Kristo misses with a double jab.
Punk avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A head kick misses from Punk.

and Kristo counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Punk!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Kristo quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Kristo but it's paid off an Punk is forced to tap! Nice work by Kristo.
