Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yuuki Gou and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castaneda stuffs the takedown.
Castaneda darts in trying to clinch
and Werns counters with a shoot takedown. Castaneda fights it but they end up in guard.
Werns slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Werns passes Castaneda's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Werns passes to side control.
Castaneda is trying to improve his position.
Castaneda knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Werns on the ground.
Werns cracks Castaneda with a big elbow.
Castaneda taking punishment in the form of punches.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Castaneda is letting Werns control him for a moment.
Werns is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Castaneda is trying to escape and Werns transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Castaneda is forced to tap! Nice work there by Werns! Very nice indeed!
