Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sami Supermies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Fisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fisher is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Must Be The Money. Sami Supermies could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Steve Fisher's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Supermies misses with a left hand
and Fisher counters with a straight right hand.
Fisher is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Fisher gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Supermies scores with a crisp jab that stopped Fisher in his tracks.


It looks like Steve Fisher has been cut.
Supermies throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Fisher throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Supermies's waist but Supermies gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fisher off to one side.
Fisher throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Supermies.
Supermies throws a looping overhand right but Fisher ducks down to avoid it.
Supermies misses with a jab, cross combination.
Supermies misses the body punch
and Fisher counters with an outside leg kick.
Supermies lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Supermies avoids a punch combination nicely.

Fisher fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A jab from Supermies does it's job there.
Sami Supermies is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Supermies lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fisher circles away quickly and effectively.
Supermies rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fisher moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Fisher ducks under a wild hook from Supermies.
Sami Supermies seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Supermies looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Supermies throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Supermies circles away from the clinch attempt.

Supermies lands a glancing blow to the side of Fisher's head.
Fisher ducks right into an uppercut from Supermies.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Fisher is looking to stand up but Supermies won't let him.
Supermies wants to get back to his feet but Fisher is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Fisher postures up in Supermies's guard and throws a big left but Supermies blocks it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fisher drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Supermies manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Fisher has Supermies in his guard.

Fisher pushes Supermies off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Fisher tries to clinch but Supermies is having none of it.
Supermies jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

and Fisher counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Fisher shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Supermies has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Fisher off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Supermies is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fisher throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

That's time! Supermies's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Fisher is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Supermies has managed to free his arm - good work.
Supermies looks like he's trying to stand up.

Fisher is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Supermies is just riding it out for now. Fisher eventually gives up the hold.
Fisher misses with a head shot. Supermies uses the momentum to regain guard.

Supermies wants to get back to his feet but Fisher is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Fisher looking to sit in guard and control but Supermies gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Fisher is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Supermies tries to stand but Fisher is controlling from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fisher is striking from the bottom but Supermies uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
Fisher regains full guard. Nicely done.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Supermies misses with a left hand

and Fisher counters by moving into the clinch.
A right handed body shot lands from Supermies.
Fisher is breathing heavily.
Fisher trying to land knees to the body.
Supermies lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Fisher is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Supermies pulls him back up using the underhooks.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Steve Fisher will probably get the nod - 10:9.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Supermies wanted to stand there but Fisher had control of the position.
Fisher trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Fisher looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Fisher wants to control but Supermies passes easily into half guard.
Fisher wants to improve his position but Supermies is controlling well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Fisher holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Supermies wants to stand up but Fisher is controlling the position.
The fighters are battling for position here. Fisher manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Fisher trying to keep a closed guard but Supermies is proving a slippery customer.

Fisher pulls Supermies in close to prevent any damage.
Fisher tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Fisher wants to hit a switch here but Supermies passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Fisher there!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Fisher is wriggling around trying to escape.

Supermies is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Supermies's jab looks to have found its range, popping Fisher under the eye.

Fisher drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Steve Fisher comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Fisher has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
