These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Navarro did well to prevent Jackson getting side control.

Navarro has gone for a leg lock! Jackson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Navarro's guard.

Navarro connects with a leg kick. Jackson looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jackson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Navarro is desperately trying to improve his position but Jackson has a good base and remains in mount.
Jackson connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Jackson is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Navarro can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
