Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Simo Silli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Micheal Pemberton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Micheal Pemberton is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Simo Silli!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Micheal Pemberton!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, John Mangel and Hugh Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silli throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Horrible takedown by Pemberton or perhaps it was just good defense by Silli which made him look bad.

Silli pushes Pemberton up against the cage in a clinch.
Silli drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Pemberton gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Silli unloads a knee to the mid-section. Pemberton lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Pemberton tries to score a body lock takedown but Silli shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Silli will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Pemberton up against the cage.
Pemberton has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Silli avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Simo Silli has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Micheal Pemberton.
Silli landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Pemberton looks gassed!
Silli unloads a knee to the mid-section. Pemberton lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Silli takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Silli breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Silli closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Silli happy to just control the position for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silli decides to stand back up. Silli steps back and let's Pemberton get back to his feet.
Pemberton is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Silli has a takedown stuffed.
Silli lands a head kick. Pemberton smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Pemberton is rocked!
Silli seems to be stalking Pemberton here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Pemberton drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Simo Silli!
