Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tyler Meier!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
OConnor fails with the takedown
enabling Meier to counter with a crisp jab.
OConnor misses with a takedown
and Meier cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
OConnor swats away the attempt to clinch by Meier.

Meier tries to roll over but OConnor keeps him under control.
OConnor works his foot free and advances to mount.
Meier tries to buck OConnor off but OConnor takes his back!
OConnor is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
OConnor's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Meier is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

OConnor is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Meier has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Meier counters with a low kick, right behind OConnor 's knee.

OConnor closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Meier to the mat! Meier manages to get full guard.

OConnor seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Meier for as long as he can get away with.

OConnor looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Meier is fending him off so far but OConnor persists. Nope, Meier circles away and we're back to standing.
