Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are James Glass, Colin Fotheringham and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill throws a right and a left that both miss.
Hill misses with the combination.
Hanson throws a body kick that misses.
Hill lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Hill misses with a series of wild punches.
Hill fails to land with a series of punches.
Hanson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Hill fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Some wild striking there from Hill.
No joy there for Hill, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Hanson gets a takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hill is in trouble now - Hanson has advanced to mount!

Hanson looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Hill really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hanson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hanson has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Hill's face.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hill wants to get back to his feet.

Hanson looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Hill is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Hanson has taken his back!

Hanson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hill's waist but Hill gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hanson off to one side.
Hanson shoots in but no luck this time.

Hill's jab looks to have found its range, popping Hanson under the eye.

Hanson slows the pace down in half guard.

Hanson is working for an americana but Hill has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Hanson was thinking about the submission.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hill wants to stand but Hanson is controlling the position.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hanson's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Hanson has gone for a leg lock! Hill slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hanson's guard.

Hanson is looking for a triangle but Hill pushes his legs off easily.
Hanson trying to keep a closed guard but Hill is proving a slippery customer.

Hill gets to his feet. Hanson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
George Hill is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Hill looks to land a combination but Hanson avoids it well.
Hanson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Hill throws a series of punches but Hanson moves out of range.
Hanson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hill.
Hanson slips a jab and a cross from Hill.
Hanson closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

A chopping leg kick lands by Hill.
Hill lands a nice hook to Hanson's body. Hanson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Hill throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hill fails to land with a series of punches.
Hill moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

George Hill showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Hanson is rocked!
Hill dances in with a quick combination. Hanson is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Hill snaps Hanson's head back. Hanson stumbles backwards against the cage. Hill steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Hanson's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Hanson just didn't come prepared.
