Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seppo Kastinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Jeremy Jones has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jeremy Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Seppo Kastinen!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Arvi Lind and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kastinen controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Kastinen slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Kastinen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Jones is looking to work some ground and pound but Kastinen has wrist control.
Kastinen controlling Jones's posture.

Jones working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Jones throwing strikes but missing.
Jones tries to stand but Kastinen is controlling from the bottom.
Jones pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kastinen is keeping the position for now.
Jones trying to move into half guard but instead Kastinen has managed to sweep!
Kastinen controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Kastinen trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Kastinen stopping the sweep attempt from Jones.
Kastinen passes Jones's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Jones has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kastinen is working away from the top position though.
Kastinen passes to full mount!
Kastinen takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Jones is controlling an arm, preventing Kastinen from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Kastinen looking to control and managing it successfully.

Kastinen looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Kastinen controlling the position easily from mount.
Jones tries to hold on but Kastinen postures up.
Kastinen moves to his opponent's back but Jones bucks him off and ends up in guard. A bit of a disaster there for Kastinen.
Kastinen has control of Jones's left arm, preventing Jones from doing any damage.

Kastinen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Jones tries to clinch up
and Kastinen counters with a nice uppercut.

Kastinen feints and as Jones raises his hands in defense, Kastinen changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Kastinen is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Kastinen advances to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Jones's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Kastinen decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jones's guard.
Kastinen postures up.
Kastinen is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Kastinen's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Jones keeping full guard, as Kastinen tries to pass.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kastinen slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Seppo Kastinen.

Kastinen has closed the distance and engaged Jones in a clinch.

Jones trying to stand up but can't free himself from Kastinen's guard.

Jones wants to pass the guard but Kastinen is keeping the position.
Kastinen is pulling down on Jones's head. It's preventing any offense from Jones, at least for the moment.
Jones has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Kastinen is proving hard to escape from.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Kastinen is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Seppo Kastinen has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Kastinen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Kastinen controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Jones drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Kastinen tries to bench press Jones off him but Jones keeps the position.

Seppo Kastinen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Jones looks like he's trying to stand up.
Kastinen trying to mount his opponent but Jones defends it.
Kastinen is taking a breather. Jones says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Jones is in trouble now - Kastinen has advanced to mount!

Jones wants to hold on but Kastinen pushes him away.
Kastinen controlling his opponent.

Kastinen is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Jones is surviving well by controlling Kastinen's body position as best he can.
Jones bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Jones is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kastinen is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kastinen has escaped and now he's on top!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Kastinen slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Kastinen remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Jones is trying to improve his position.

Kastinen in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Let's hope that Kastinen has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Seppo Kastinen.

Kastinen shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jones's guard.
Kastinen seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Kastinen passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Seppo Kastinen is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Jeremy Jones has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well Kastinen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
