Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tiger Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Baby Jay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee's entrance music is Monkeys of War. A fine choice. Baby Jay acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tiger Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Baby Jay!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Hugh Johnson and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee shoots in for a takedown but Jay shows good takedown defense.
Jay lands a jab to Lee's midsection.
Lee smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Lee shoots and misses
and Jay counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Jay gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Lee counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Jay keeping moving, preventing Lee from controlling successfully.
Jay not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Jay holds on and takes a little breather.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jay has an active guard here but Lee has managed to pass into half guard.

Lee is keen to just control but Jay is a slippery customer.
The fighters are battling for position here. Jay manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Jay bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lee's guard.

Jay is looking to work some ground and pound but Lee has wrist control.
Jay wants to control from the top but Lee keeps moving.

Jay drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lee looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lee looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lee!
Lee lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Jay gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Jay slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Jay has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Lee off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Jay stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jay wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tiger Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jay keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Lee shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee warns Jay that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Lee throws a big right hand that misses.

Lee is working Jay over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Jay looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Jay wriggles free and stands up.
Lee looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jay tries for a takedown but Lee circles away easily

so Lee counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Tiger Lee will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Jay misses with a body punch

and Lee counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jay!

Jay somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!
Jay rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Lee connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Lee works Jay's body with a nice hook.
Jay misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Lee.
A big left from Jay misses.
Lee ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Lee with a jab.
Lee changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jay tries to avoid it but Lee manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jay to the ground. Jay escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Lee darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Jay wants to improve his position but Lee is controlling well.
Lee knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jay on the ground.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lee connects with a nice short shot to Jay's temple.
Jay gets full guard.

Jay tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Jay has momentary wrist control but Lee slips an elbow through the middle.
Lee postures up in Jay's guard and throws a big left but Jay blocks it.

Jay pushes Lee off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Lee drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Lee tries to free his leg and advance position but Jay is retaining full guard.
Jay tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Jay working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lee.
Jay looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lee is one step ahead there.
Lee trying to control the position from guard on top but Jay is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Jay is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Lee trying to control but Jay is working from the bottom.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Lee stands up over Jay, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Jay slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Tiger Lee dominated that second round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Tiger Lee overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Jay drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Lee manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jay has Lee in his guard.

Jay has his foot on Lee's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lee works his way back into a safe position though.

Jay manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lee manages to get himself to full guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jay accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jay trying to control the position from guard on top but Lee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Jay stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lee swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Baby Jay has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jay wants to control from the top but Lee keeps moving.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Baby Jay hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Jay throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lee.

And that's the end of the fight!
Baby Jay comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Lee has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
