Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Wing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sparky Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jenkins has chosen im comin as his entrance music. Jesse Wing has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wing keeps the fight on the outside.
Wing shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jenkins but Jenkins pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jenkins keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Jenkins decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Jenkins decides to stand and escape the position.
Jenkins gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Wing counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jenkins!
Jenkins is looking to improve his position but Wing isn't that keen on the idea.

Wing trying to control but Jenkins is having none of it.

Wing is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Jenkins has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Jenkins wants to control but Wing is having none of it.

Wing looking to control but Jenkins is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Jenkins is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Wing has taken his back.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
I would not like to be Jenkins right now.
Wing has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Jenkins trying to control the hands but Wing won't let him.
Wing really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Jenkins.
Jenkins wants to escape the position.

Wing has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Jenkins has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Jenkins is trying to get back to his feet but Wing has full control of the position and if anything, Jenkins has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Wing is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Jenkins has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Wing is trying to stick to Jenkins's back but Jenkins is turning into Wing. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Wing's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Jenkins.

Wing is working an open guard so Jenkins takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Wing misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jesse Wing. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Wing takes the fight into the clinch.
Jenkins is pressed up against the cage. Wing has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jenkins down to the mat. Jenkins avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Wing looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Wing decides to return to a standing position.

Wing shoots for a takedown but Jenkins saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

so Wing counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wing with a nice head shot there.
Wing wants to get up but he can't break Jenkins's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Jenkins has his foot on Wing's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wing works his way back into a safe position though.

Jenkins manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jenkins can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Wing is looking to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Wing throws a strike but Jenkins rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Wing is looking for a triangle but Jenkins pushes his legs off easily.
Jenkins stays in close to Wing's body and controls the position.
Jenkins wants to get up but he can't break Wing's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Wing wants to stand up but Jenkins is controlling him.
Wing is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Jenkins dives into side control.
Jenkins controls the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Wing tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jenkins wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Wing is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jenkins's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jenkins's back!

Jesse Wing overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
