Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Anatoliy Himura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Deki Stankovic!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Dmitry Maklakov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stankovic stuffs the takedown.

Nice combo by Stankovic! Oh, that's hurt him - Himura falls to the canvas and Stankovic follows him into side control.


Himura is rocked!


It looks like Anatoliy Himura has been cut.
Himura can't do much from the bottom here.
Oh Himura is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Stankovic stands up and beckons Himura to his feet.
Himura seems to have got his legs back now.
Himura takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Stankovic misses with a series of wild punches.
Stankovic throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Himura.
No luck for Himura with that takedown attempt.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Stankovic tries to sprawl but Himura drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Himura really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Stankovic has one foot on Himura's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Stankovic lands with an uppercut that bounces Himura off the cage and back into rage.
Stankovic lands a nice hook to Himura's body. Himura takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Stankovic misses with a low kick.
Stankovic stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Stankovic looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Deki Stankovic is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Stankovic jabs at Himura's body.
Stankovic throws a low kick, looking for Himura's leg but Himura calmly moves out of range.
Stankovic throws a left and a right that both miss

and Himura counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Stankovic makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Himura avoids the body shot from Stankovic.
Himura keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Stankovic misses with a left hand

so Himura counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Himura is breathing heavily.

Stankovic has his foot on Himura's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Himura works his way back into a safe position though.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Stankovic wants to stand and escape but Himura is having none of it.
Himura will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Stankovic has a closed guard, preventing Himura from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stankovic pushes Himura off and scrambles back to his feet.
Stankovic swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Himura.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Stankovic connects with a body shot that sends Himura's belly button to the back.
Stankovic misses with the combination.
Stankovic misses with a looping left.
Stankovic lands a nice shot to the body.
Stankovic keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Stankovic lands a jab to the nose.
A combination from Stankovic does no damage.
Stankovic misses with a few strikes there.
Stankovic lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Stankovic fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Himura walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Stankovic misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Stankovic works Himura's body with a nice hook.
Stankovic jabs Himura right on the nose. Himura blinks but takes it well.
Stankovic is looking to slow Himura down with leg kicks.
Stankovic fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Himura looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Stankovic works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Stankovic fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Stankovic throws a nice looking combination but Himura bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Nice body punch from Stankovic.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Himura gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Stankovic throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Himura looks up at the clock. Bad move! Stankovic lands a right hand from hell, dropping Himura. Stankovic pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Deki Stankovic!
