Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andreas Jonsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jonsson comes to the ring accompanied by Lover's Concerto by Kelly Chen. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kong plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Jonsson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Kong clinches up against the ropes.
Kong wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Jonsson has him pressed against the ropes.

Kong breaks from the clinch.
Kong tries to bum rush Jonsson with a series of wild strikes but Jonsson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kong is looking to clinch.
King Kong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jonsson shoots in but Kong avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Kong moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Jonsson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Jonsson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Jonsson is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kong can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
