Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mean Machine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Gee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mean Machine is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mean Machine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tony Gee!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machine wants to clinch.
Machine closes the distance but Gee moves to the side
and Gee connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Gee throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Machine was covering up waiting for the punch and Gee finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Machine has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gee accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Machine is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Machine for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

Machine tries to land knees in the clinch but Gee avoids the damage to the body.

Machine wants the takedown. Gee is fighting it off but Machine persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Gee's guard against the cage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Mean Machine just wasn't active enough.
Machine tries to clinch there but Gee circles away.

Machine looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gee can do anything to dispel that myth.
Machine stops Gee from getting back to his feet.
Machine seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gee does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Machine is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Machine wants to control but Gee is keeping him busy.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Mean Machine has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Machine is leaning against Gee and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Gee is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Machine gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Machine's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

and Machine holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Machine here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
