Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Max Factor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Billy The Studd!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Studd fails in his attempt to clinch.
The Studd looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Factor has control of The Studd's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and The Studd regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The Studd is desperately trying to improve his position but Factor has a good base and remains in mount.
The Studd wants to hold on but Factor pushes him away.
Factor wants to control the pace but The Studd is squirming around nicely.
Factor wants to control the action but instead The Studd gets a body lock and reverses into Factor's guard! Nice work!

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Factor stuffs the takedown.
Factor looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? The Studd is fending him off so far but Factor persists. Nope, The Studd circles away and we're back to standing.
Factor tries to clinch there but The Studd circles away.
The Studd will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Factor fails with the takedown.

Factor clinches up against the cage.
The Studd keeps control of Factor as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
The Studd goes for a takedown in the clinch but Factor prevents it.
The Studd tries for a takedown. No joy.
Factor wants a takedown but no success here.
Factor is trying to break free.

The Studd prevents Factor from breaking the clinch.

The Studd breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Factor misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Nice uppercut lands for The Studd. That snapped Factor's head back.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

The is referee keeping an eye on Factor - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
The Studd gets underhooks to prevent Factor's takedown attempt.

The Studd wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Factor has him pressed against the cage.
A nice left hand lands by Factor.
The Studd keeps control of Factor as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Factor drops to a knee looking for a takedown but The Studd gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Factor forces The Studd back against the cage and clinches.

Factor shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says The Studd as he avoids it easily.
The Studd shoots for a double leg takedown but Factor sprawls well. He's pushed The Studd's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Billy The Studd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Factor closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Factor can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Max Factor. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The Studd prevents Factor from breaking the clinch.
Factor wants a takedown but no success here.
Factor is looking to break free of the clinch but The Studd has double underhooks.
Factor is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
The Studd is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Factor pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Factor wants to break free but The Studd has control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The fight stays on the outside here - The Studd looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Factor will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Horrible takedown by The Studd or perhaps it was just good defense by Factor which made him look bad.
Factor is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! The Studd hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
