Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Barnes Fuschini!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Petteri Katayamaki!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fuschini looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Fuschini misses with a takedown attempt - Katayamaki sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Fuschini shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Fuschini was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Fuschini seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Katayamaki is holding on tight.

Fuschini sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Katayamaki suckers Fuschini into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Katayamaki is now in Fuschini's guard!
