Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Earl Oyster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Travis Jaeger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Earl Oyster has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Earl Oyster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Travis Jaeger!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Franklyn Lucas and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Jaeger.
Jaeger throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

A punch combination from Oyster misses.
Oyster swings widly with a right hand
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Oyster misses with a hook
and Jaeger counters with a head kick. That will keep Oyster thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Oyster throws a leg kick but Jaeger sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Jaeger closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Oyster wants to break the clinch but can't.
Jaeger unloads a knee to the mid-section.

Jaeger manages to pull guard.
Oyster won't allow Jaeger to sweep him here.
Oyster knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jaeger on the ground.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Jaeger holds on and takes a little breather.

Jaeger has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Oyster can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Jaeger is pulling down on Oyster's head to control his posture.

Jaeger is looking for a triangle here but Oyster uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
You can see the frustration on Jaeger's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Oyster wants to stand but Jaeger is controlling his arm.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Jaeger throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Oyster escapes and throws Jaeger's legs to the side, diving into side control!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Jaeger pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A looping hook to the body misses from Oyster. Jaeger does a little dance to reset his feet.

and Jaeger cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

A head kick from Jaeger lands but Oyster takes it in his stride.

Jaeger drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jaeger wants to control from the top but Oyster keeps moving.
Jaeger postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Oyster on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Oyster tries to get out of the position.
Jaeger postures up in Oyster's guard and throws a big left but Oyster blocks it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jaeger accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Jaeger loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Oyster keeping moving, preventing Jaeger from controlling successfully.

Jaeger has gone for a leg lock! Oyster slips out almost immediately though and dives into Jaeger's guard.
Jaeger is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Jaeger is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Oyster is aware though and is defending well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Jaeger is looking to take a break and control but Oyster is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Jaeger tries to score with some ground and pound. Oyster controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Travis Jaeger showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Jaeger rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Oyster moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Earl Oyster seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jaeger tries to bum rush Oyster with a series of wild strikes but Oyster uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Jaeger counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Oyster's guard now.
Travis Jaeger has got the better of the ground game so far.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jaeger thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Jaeger throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Oyster blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jaeger.
Jaeger works his way into side control.

Jaeger looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Oyster wants to get back to his feet.

Jaeger cracks Oyster with a big right hand but Oyster just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Jaeger is working Oyster over with some ground and pound from side control.

Jaeger tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jaeger has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Jaeger grinds an elbow into Oyster's temple.

Oyster avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Jaeger.
Oyster takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Oyster parries the strikes from Jaeger easily there. Jaeger is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Oyster to escape.

Jaeger throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Jaeger trying to control the position but Oyster is working away.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jaeger is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Travis Jaeger comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jaeger has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
