Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Max Payne!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Donald Grub and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payne is looking to clinch.
Cojo circles away from the clinch attempt.
Cojo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Payne manages to avoid it.
Cojo scores with the left hand. Payne knows he should have avoided that one.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Cojo enables Payne to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Cojo manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Cojo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Payne defends it easily.

Payne is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cojo is on top in guard.
Payne can't keep his opponent in guard - Cojo advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Payne drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Cojo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Cojo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cojo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Payne is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Cojo has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Payne is looking to defend but Cojo has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Payne! Cojo pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Payne taps out and this one is all over!
