Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Derrick Bennett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Oliveira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bennett might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to B.I.G Notorious. Derrick Bennett has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliveira has his takedown stuffed
and Bennett counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Bennett shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Oliveira napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bennett is trying to ground and pound but Oliveira uses the momentary lack of control by Bennett to regain half guard.
Bennett knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Oliveira on the ground.
Oliveira is refusing to be controlled, as Bennett sits in half guard.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Bennett is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Oliveira doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bennett.
Bennett is pressing down on Oliveira's thigh, looking to free his foot. Oliveira is holding on for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Oliveira holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Oliveira has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bennett is working away from the top position though.

Oliveira is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bennett is just riding it out for now. Oliveira eventually gives up the hold.
Bennett really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
