Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Graeme Souness!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Morihei Ueshiba!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yuuki Gou and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ueshiba shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Souness but Souness pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A lazy left from Souness finds it's target.
It looks like Morihei Ueshiba has been cut.
Ueshiba misses with a takedown attempt
and Souness counters with a crisp one two that drops Ueshiba! Souness thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Ueshiba to his feet! Ueshiba is in big trouble!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Souness looks to land a combination but Ueshiba avoids it well.
Ueshiba dodges the punch combination from Souness.
Ueshiba tries for a takedown but Souness circles away easily
and Souness counters with a crisp one two that drops Ueshiba! Souness thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Ueshiba to his feet! Ueshiba is in big trouble!
Graeme Souness has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Morihei Ueshiba.
A jab lands there for Souness.

A good leg kick by Souness.
Souness goes for a small jab and connects. Now Souness goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Ueshiba stumbles back but Souness runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Ueshiba to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Ueshiba will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Graeme Souness!
