Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stanley Montourski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Siuta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Siuta has chosen "Rise" by The Flobots as his entrance music. Jay Siuta is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stanley Montourski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jay Siuta!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Jonathan Paton and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montourski ducks under a wild hook from Siuta.
Montourski missing with a left hand there. Siuta was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Siuta throws a combination that misses
and Montourski cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Montourski ducks right into an uppercut from Siuta.
Siuta throws a right hand that misses
and Montourski cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Siuta throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Siuta looks to land a left hand but Montourski moved out of range nicely.

Montourski lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Siuta circles away quickly and effectively.
Siuta on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Siuta throws a chopping leg kick but Montourski manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Siuta fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Montourski.
Siuta missing with a left hand there. Montourski was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Montourski bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Siuta's head backwards.
The fighters circling - Montourski throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Montourski feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Montourski won't allow Siuta to sweep him here.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Montourski tries to pass to full mount but Siuta defends it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Siuta counters with a two punch combo.
Montourski slips under a jab.
A looping hook to the body misses from Siuta. Montourski does a little dance to reset his feet.
Montourski slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Montourski shoots for a double leg takedown but Siuta sprawls well. He's pushed Montourski's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

letting Siuta counter with a right hand.

Montourski looks to land a left hand but Siuta moved out of range nicely.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Montourski is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Siuta can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Siuta is looking to improve his position but Montourski isn't that keen on the idea.
Siuta is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Montourski lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!



Montourski fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Siuta sprawls well initially but Montourski persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Stanley Montourski overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Siuta wants to get back to full guard.
Siuta is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Montourski wants to take a breather but Siuta is having none of it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Siuta lands with an uppercut that bounces Montourski off the cage and back into rage.
Montourski lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Siuta works over Montourski's head and body with a nice combination.
Siuta tries a head kick but it misses.
Siuta scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Jay Siuta has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Montourski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Siuta swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Montourski is in close to Siuta's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Siuta controls Montourski momentarily but Montourski frees himself.
Montourski passes Siuta's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Stanley Montourski is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Siuta wants to control but Montourski is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Montourski content to control rather than advance.
Montourski has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Siuta is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Siuta is squirming around, avoiding Montourski's attempts to control the action.
Montourski is really struggling to control Siuta but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Siuta wants to hold on but Montourski pushes him away.
Siuta gets back to half guard.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Montourski takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Well Montourski has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
