Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clovis Nunes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Harris might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Sad But True. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Frank Harris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Clovis Nunes!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Edson Gomes and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harris avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A big right from Nunes misses.

Nunes waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Harris. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Harris to the canvas! Can he finish him!?


It looks like Frank Harris has been cut.
Nunes wants to control from the top but Harris keeps moving.

Nunes gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

enabling Nunes to counter with a crisp jab.
Nunes might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Nunes throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Nunes is trying to stand.
Nunes looks gassed!
Nunes won't allow Harris to pass to mount.
Nunes looks like he's trying to stand up.
Nunes is trying to escape back to his feet but Harris uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Harris creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Nunes sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Nunes wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Harris misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Nunes throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Harris closes the distance looking to clinch
and Nunes counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Harris tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nunes swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Harris shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Nunes counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Clovis Nunes dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Frank Harris's cut.
That's time! Harris's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Nunes throws a hook to the side of Harris's head but Harris sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Nunes counters with a big uppercut that knocks Harris off his feet! Nunes dives into side control looking to finish!


Frank Harris's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Nunes is chipping away with strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Nunes tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Nunes tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Nunes has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Jeez, Frank Harris's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Frank Harris's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
