The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doom dodges the punch combination from Silva.
Doctor Doom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva dodges the punch combination from Doom.
Silva swats away the attempt to clinch by Doom.
Silva shoots in looking for a takedown. Doom tries to sprawl out of it but Silva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Doom manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Silva cracks the inside of Doom's front leg.
Nice takedown defense from Silva. No joy for Doom on that attempt.
Silva falls off balance throwing a combination
enabling Doom to counter with a crisp jab.
Silva shoots in but Doom avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Silva takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Silva tries to clinch but Doom moves out of range.
Doom throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Silva on the side of the head.

Silva is rocked!
Silva looks to score with a jab to the body but Doom is just out of range.
Oh Silva is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Silva misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Doom.
Silva seems to have got his legs back now.
Doom is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Silva flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Silva is out cold! Doom holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
