The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
almario throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Green's waist but Green gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing almario off to one side.
almario shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Green as he avoids it easily.
almario drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
almario is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
almario in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Green might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Green is wriggling around but almario manages to pass to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
