Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hitty McPunch!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffiths closes the distance but McPunch moves to the side

and McPunch counters with a takedown into side control.
Griffiths could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Griffiths is looking to work his way out of this bad position but McPunch is controlling him well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McPunch wants to stand but Griffiths has his arm trapped.
Griffiths is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
McPunch tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McPunch tries to stand but Griffiths controls the position and pulls McPunch into his guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
McPunch wants to stand but Griffiths has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
McPunch wants to stand and escape but instead Griffiths has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
McPunch really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Griffiths. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
McPunch is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Griffiths won't allow McPunch to get back to his feet.
Griffiths wants to stand but McPunch is controlling his posture from full guard.
Griffiths won't allow McPunch to sweep him here.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Griffiths wants to stand but McPunch has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as McPunch holds on and takes a little breather.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Griffiths closes the distance and clinches.
Griffiths misses with a punch on the inside.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by McPunch as Griffiths tries to tie him up.
McPunch blocks an uppercut.
McPunch scores with a shot to the side of Griffiths's head.
McPunch is trying to force a seperation but Griffiths has the dominant position.
McPunch displaying some good clinch control by pressing Griffiths up against the cage.

Griffiths with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
McPunch makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
McPunch using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Griffiths has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Griffiths tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
McPunch dodges an elbow strike from Griffiths.
McPunch lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Griffiths backwards.
Griffiths is breathing heavily.
McPunch lands a body shot.
Griffiths tries a knee to the head but McPunch blocks it.
McPunch lands with a short shot to the head.
McPunch lands with a left to the head.


Griffiths is rocked!

McPunch manages to break the clinch.
Oh Griffiths is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A slow jab from McPunch misses its intended target.
McPunch throws a looping overhand right but Griffiths ducks down to avoid it.
Griffiths seems to have got his legs back now.
Griffiths steps to the side to avoid the strikes from McPunch.
McPunch is stalking Griffiths. Griffiths circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from McPunch, and it's lights out! Griffiths really payed the price for that rookie mistake.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Hitty McPunch!
