Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gronk Groenhud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Marsden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Groenhud comes to the cage accompanied by Sometime Lonely by Kelly Chen. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Groenhud throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Groenhud moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Groenhud has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Marsden finds it's way round the side to connect with Groenhud's head.
Groenhud will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Groenhud. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Groenhud might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Marsden throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Groenhud's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Marsden dives in looking to finish as Groenhud flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Marsden's strikes! Marsden is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Groenhud's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Groenhud was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike Marsden! Mike Marsden retains his bantamweight title!
