Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Zak Houk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tapio Korjunne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Houk lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Korjunne circles away quickly and effectively.
Houk looks to clinch

so Korjunne counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Houk wants to stand up but Korjunne is controlling him.
Korjunne controls from within his opponent's guard.
Korjunne stops Houk from standing up.
Korjunne thows a big elbow that misses.
Houk really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Korjunne seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Tapio Korjunne.
Korjunne tries for a takedown but Houk sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Tapio Korjunne hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Korjunne is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Houk.

Korjunne shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Korjunne seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Let's hope that Korjunne has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Houk's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Tapio Korjunne is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Zak Houk showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Korjunne has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
