Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Moai Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greig Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Duality kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Moai Burns has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

With a record of 10 - 13 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Greig Smith!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith avoids the head kick by Burns.
Burns explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Burns moves out of range of the strikes.
Smith avoids a kick to the body.
Smith jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Burns loads up on a big right hand but Smith slips the punch.
Burns misses with an uppercut. Smith saw that one coming.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Smith, as that shot connected.
Smith looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Burns with a jab.
Smith closes the distance and clinches up with Burns, looking for a takedown. Smith pushes Burns against the cage but Burns circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Burns leaves Smith with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

and Burns finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Moai Burns has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Greig Smith.

Burns lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Burns moves in looking to clinch but Smith pushes him off.

Burns drives through and clinches with Smith against the cage.

and Burns counters with a nice body kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Burns throws an overhand right that lands on Smith's shoulder, as Smith tries to avoid the shot.

and Burns counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Burns.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Smith is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Burns misses with a few strikes there.
Burns stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

and Smith counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Burns wants to get back to his feet.

Burns is trying to stand up here but Smith is controlling him well.

Smith frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Burns really wants to buck Smith off and get back to his feet.
Smith lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Burns hang on?

Smith has hold of Burns's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Burns manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Burns is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Smith is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Burns has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Smith looking for a guillotine from mount but Burns is having none of it.

Smith swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Burns is now in Smith's guard. A big mistake from Smith there, giving up the dominant position!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Smith is working an open guard so Burns takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Moai Burns will probably get the nod.

Burns connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Smith momentarily.
