Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Zach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bret Hitman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hitman has chosen Champions as his entrance music. Bret Hitman is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ryan Zach! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bret Hitman! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zach throws a sloppy head kick and Hitman moves out of range easily. Hitman doesn't manage to clinch there - Zach circles away.
Zach looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Zach won't allow Hitman to sweep him here. Hitman striking off his back but it's not causing Zach any problems. Zach cracks Hitman with a solid left hand. Hitman not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Zach gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Zach misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Zach shoots in for a takedown but Hitman shows good takedown defense. Hitman swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Zach counters with a nice double leg into guard. Hitman has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Hitman looking to hit a scissor sweep but Zach is one step ahead there. Hitman keeping moving, preventing Zach from controlling successfully. Zach has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Hitman is looking to stand back up but Zach counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Hitman. Zach keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Zach is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hitman is just riding it out for now. Zach eventually gives up the hold. Zach is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Zach is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hitman doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Zach. Zach passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Hitman!
 That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Zach controlling from mount. Hitman is looking to improve his position but Zach isn't that keen on the idea. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Zach tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Zach avoids the attempt from Hitman to control. Zach wants to control the pace but Hitman is squirming around nicely.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ryan Zach. Hitman gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Zach counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Zach is breathing heavily. Hitman keeping control of the position. Zach trying to control the action but Hitman is working from the bottom.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Hitman looks like he's trying to stand up.
Hitman wants to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zach lands with a punch from half guard. Zach is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Zach looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hitman with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Zach is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Hitman is trying to stand up here but Zach is controlling him well. Zach landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ryan Zach dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Zach tries to clinch up. Hitman keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hitman with a lazy takedown attempt
and Zach decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hitman's guard. Hitman tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hitman is looking to stand up but Zach isn't so interested in that idea. Zach stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hitman swivels though and keeps the full guard. Zach is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Zach stands up from Hitman's guard - Zach perhaps looking for a knockout. Hitman closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Hitman misses with a takedown attempt
and Zach counters with a takedown into side control. Zach working away. Hitman gets back to half guard.
Zach is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Zach in particular looking to stall. Hitman has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Zach is working away from the top position though. Zach takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Hitman punching from the bottom.

and Zach counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Hitman! Ryan Zach has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bret Hitman. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hitman wants to hold on but Zach pushes him away. Hitman swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Zach controlling the pace for now. Hitman gets back to half guard. Zach takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Hitman wants to improve his position but Zach is controlling well.
Zach with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
 Ryan Zach has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Hitman doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Zach counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Hitman wants to stand up but Zach is controlling him. Hitman is looking to sweep but instead, Zach has passed into half guard.
Hitman is trying to maintain the position but Zach is very close to passing his half guard. Zach prevents Hitman from improving his position.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Zach looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Zach wants to stand but Hitman has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Hitman looks like he's trying to stand up.
Zach is trying to work for a kimura but Hitman is defending well.
Hitman kicks Zach off and gets back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Zach scores a takedown into full mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ryan Zach dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Zach circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hitman drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Hitman is working Zach over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Hitman scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Zach controlling the position. Hitman is looking to work some ground and pound but Zach has wrist control. Zach preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Zach working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hitman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Zach is tightening it up a little... Hitman has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Hitman reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Hitman taps out! nice BJJ there by Zach!
