Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stan Pead (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Elite (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pead has taken the fight to the clinch.
Pead lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Pead is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Elite can't fight it off and eventually Pead manages to take the fight to the floor. Elite looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Elite has his foot on Pead's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pead works his way back into a safe position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pead controls from within his opponent's guard.
Pead stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Elite swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Pead stays in close to Elite's body and controls the position.
Pead has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Pead feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
