Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Boris Yamokov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcellus LeGualt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yamokov comes to the cage accompanied by Every Little Thing Is Gonna Be Alright. LeGualt comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Get Free by The Vines kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! LeGualt misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
LeGualt throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Yamokov cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. LeGualt throws a right hand that misses
letting Yamokov counter with a right hand. Nice takedown defense from LeGualt. No joy for Yamokov on that attempt. LeGualt misses with a shot to the body
and Yamokov counters with a nice double leg into guard. LeGualt pulls Yamokov in to control the position. LeGualt wants to sweep but no luck. LeGualt keeping moving, preventing Yamokov from controlling successfully. LeGualt manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Yamokov manages to get himself to full guard.
Yamokov is pulling down on LeGualt's head. It's preventing any offense from LeGualt, at least for the moment.

Yamokov looks to land a strike but LeGualt avoids it nicely and regains full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. LeGualt avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. LeGualt looking to hit a scissor sweep but Yamokov is one step ahead there. LeGualt is trying to keep Yamokov in close.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Yamokov is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Yamokov takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Yamokov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts LeGualt as he jumps to the side. LeGualt misses with a left hand and Yamokov counters with a stiff right hand. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Yamokov checks a leg kick. LeGualt throws a head kick but Yamokov moves out of range.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Yamokov shoots in for a takedown but LeGualt shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Boris Yamokov. That's going to take a lot out of him. LeGualt misses with a jab to the body
and Yamokov counters with a straight right hand. Nice sprawl there from LeGualt as Yamokov shoots in. LeGualt misses with a lunging right hand
and Yamokov counters with a nice double leg into guard. LeGualt is trying to keep Yamokov in close.
Yamokov drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Yamokov jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. LeGualt wants to sweep here but Yamokov controlling him for the moment. Yamokov prevents LeGualt from getting back to his feet.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Yamokov trying to control the position from guard on top but LeGualt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if LeGualt can do anything to dispel that myth. Yamokov engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Yamokov's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Yamokov will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
 The ref stands the fighters back up. Boris Yamokov wasn't doing enough on the ground. LeGualt throws a poor cross that misses
and Yamokov counters with a nice double leg into guard. Yamokov postures up.
LeGualt is looking to stand up but Yamokov isn't so interested in that idea. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

and Yamokov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. LeGualt tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Yamokov is able to avoid easily. LeGualt misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Yamokov counters with a shoot takedown. LeGualt fights it but they end up in guard. LeGualt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Yamokov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Yamokov postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. LeGualt looking to control but Yamokov passes into half guard.

 That's one minute gone in the round. LeGualt keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. LeGualt is trying to escape back to his feet but Yamokov uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Yamokov connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused LeGualt some visible discomfort.
Yamokov in side control lands a decent elbow. LeGualt sneaks back into half guard. LeGualt trying to hold on to Yamokov's head to control him but Yamokov postures up.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Yamokov uses his free foot to push down on LeGualt's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for LeGualt. A nice elbow there by Yamokov. Yamokov sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Yamokov putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! LeGualt wants to hold on but Yamokov pushes him away. Yamokov won't let LeGualt get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. LeGualt in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. LeGualt wants to hold on but Yamokov pushes him away. LeGualt working to try and regain half guard.
LeGualt wants to control but Yamokov is having none of it. Yamokov looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

LeGualt tries to improve his position but Yamokov has taken his back! Yamokov has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will LeGualt tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Yamokov pushes LeGualt away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
