Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Claude Harper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nate Walker!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Steve Erwin and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker with a poor takedown
and Harper counters with a straight right hand.
Sloppy strikes from Harper. Those never looked like landing.
Harper fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Walker, pushing him back against the cage.
A nice left hand lands by Harper.
Walker breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Walker fails with the takedown
and Harper counters with a nice body shot.
Walker tries for a takedown but Harper circles away easily
and Harper moves into the clinch.
Claude Harper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nate Walker.
Walker tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Harper smiles and moves away.
Walker shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Harper counters with a straight right hand.
Harper feints a jab promting Walker to slip. Harper then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Walker slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
A jab lands there for Harper.
Walker misses with a takedown attempt
and Harper counters with a nice body shot.
Walker looks gassed!
Walker takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A jab lands there for Harper.
Harper pounces like a tiger and cracks Walker with a vicious hook! Walker is down but not out! Harper follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Claude Harper!
