Bartone kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Toto Cotugno - L'italiano. Anthony Pettis struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.8lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bartone circles away from the clinch attempt
and Bartone counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Vince Bartone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pettis moves to clinch but Bartone breaks away
and Bartone cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Bartone throws a combination. Pettis tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Bartone jabs Pettis right on the nose. Pettis blinks but takes it well.
A low kick from Pettis misses
and Bartone counters with a one-two to the body.

Pettis takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Bartone's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
