PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bret Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Daley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hill comes into the arena with Wanted Dead Or Alive by Bon Jovi blaring out of the sound system. Daley is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Dragonforce-Heroes of our time. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hill throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Daley was covering up waiting for the punch and Hill finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Daley avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Hill content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Hill is looking to work some ground and pound but Daley has wrist control.
Daley wants to stand and escape but Hill is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hill wants to control from the top but Daley keeps moving.
Daley working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hill.
Daley avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hill is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Hill is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Hill drops back looking for a leg! Daley is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Daley manages to kick Hill off! Hill jumps back into Daley's guard.

Hill is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hill wants to pass the guard but Daley is keeping the position.
Hill working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Daley is looking to stand back up but Hill counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Daley.

Hill is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Daley doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hill.

Hill is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Hill passes the guard and advances to mount!

Hill is working for a guillotine from mount but Daley frees his head quite easily.
Hill cracks Daley with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Hill misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Hill throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Daley has his hands clasped together but Hill breaks the hold and Daley is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Hill!
