The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lashley misses with a takedown attempt
and Rostecki counters with a straight right hand.
Lashley sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lashley is breathing heavily.

Rostecki drops back looking for a leg! Lashley is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lashley manages to kick Rostecki off! Rostecki jumps back into Lashley's guard.

Rostecki got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lashley has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rostecki has managed to get both his arms back between Lashley's legs - danger averted.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Rostecki is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Rostecki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lashley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Rostecki has his hands clasped together but Lashley extends an breaks Rostecki's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Lashley.
