Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Travin Mallard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kid Buu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mallard comes into the arena with Robot Rock blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buu fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mallard has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Buu throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Mallard lands with a nice combination. Buu backs away looking to recover.
Buu throws a head kick but Mallard moves out of range.

Mallard has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Buu can do anything to dispel that myth.

Mallard goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Buu is on top in guard.
