The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kumituki tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Stevens manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Nice shot lands for Stevens.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Stevens is defended easily by Kumituki.

Kumituki tries to close the distance and clinch but Stevens swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Stevens shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Stevens was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Stevens fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Stevens tries to control but Kumituki wriggling away.
