Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vaughn Rader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Monty Pop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rader comes to the cage accompanied by The Imperial March. Vaughn Rader could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Monty Pop's chin.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Monty Pop!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rader throws a chopping leg kick but Pop manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

and Pop connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Pop counters with a series of strikes. Rader will be more careful next time no doubt.
Rader takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Pop swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Pop shoots in for a double leg but Rader sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Pop counters with a single leg into guard. Rader didn't expect that.
Rader wants to stand but Pop is controlling the position.

Rader wants to get back to his feet but Pop is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Rader does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Pop plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

No luck for Rader with that takedown attempt.

Pop moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Pop is working the combinations to good effect here.
Pop pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Rader back to the cage. Pop follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Pop changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rader tries to avoid it but Pop manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rader to the ground. Rader escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Pop swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Pop has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Pop scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

The fighters circle, before Pop throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Rader's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Pop lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
