Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Logan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paul Logan could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Shane Carwin's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Paul Logan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Shane Carwin! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Hugh Johnson and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carwin bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Carwin throws a lazy uppercut
letting Logan counter with a right hand. Carwin uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Logan has time to react. Logan drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Carwin looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Logan is looking to work some ground and pound but Carwin has wrist control. Logan not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Logan wants to pass the guard but Carwin is keeping the position. Carwin looking for a sweep. Not yet Carwin, not yet. Logan pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Carwin is keeping the position for now. Logan loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's one minute gone in the round. Logan trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Logan not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Logan throws a big right hand that misses. Logan works a leg free and moves into half guard. Logan is keen to just control but Carwin is a slippery customer. Logan is taking a breather. Carwin says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Logan missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Logan is trying to control the action in half guard but Carwin is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Logan is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Carwin moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Logan is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Carwin is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Carwin has escaped and now he's on top! The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Carwin trying to control the position from guard on top but Logan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carwin pushing down on Logan's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Carwin works his foot free and advances to mount. Carwin tries to control but Logan wriggling away. Logan bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Carwin looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Logan looking to sit in guard and control but Carwin gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Carwin pushes down on Logan's leg and manages to get into half guard. Carwin is taking a breather. Logan says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Logan tries to roll over but Carwin keeps him under control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Carwin uses his free foot to push down on Logan's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Logan. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shane Carwin dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Carwin misses with a double jab
and Logan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Carwin's guard. Logan has gone for a leg lock! Carwin slips out almost immediately though and dives into Logan's guard. Logan looking for a guillotine here but Carwin defends easily.
Carwin sitting in guard, not really doing much. Logan wants to hit a switch here but Carwin passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Logan there!
That's one minute gone in the round. Carwin takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Logan is squirming around, avoiding Carwin's attempts to control the action. Carwin goes for an armbar but Logan turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Logan. Logan wants to pass the guard but Carwin is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Carwin lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Logan! Logan tries to get back to half guard but can't. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Carwin can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Logan is looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Logan is looking to improve his position but Carwin isn't that keen on the idea. Carwin looking to control but Logan is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Logan is desperately trying to improve his position but Carwin has a good base and remains in mount. Logan is squirming around, avoiding Carwin's attempts to control the action. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Carwin controlling from mount. Carwin tries to control but Logan wriggling away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Shane Carwin was stalling too much, according to the referee. Carwin lands with a right hand. Carwin tries to sprawl but Logan drives through with a takedown into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Shane Carwin will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Carwin looks to land a combination but Logan avoids it well. Carwin's jab looks to have found its range, popping Logan under the eye. Logan uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Carwin. Carwin connects with a nice looking jab.
Logan drops his hands momentarily. Carwin doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Logan staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Logan doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Shane Carwin!
