Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jesus Nazareth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Smask (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nazareth comes to the cage accompanied by Nobody Fucks With The Jesus. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nazareth takes a swing at Smask's ribcage but misses.
Smask fails with the takedown

and Nazareth counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Nazareth.
Nazareth tries for a takedown but Smask manages to get underhooks.
Smask is looking to break free of the clinch but Nazareth has double underhooks.

Nazareth's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Smask tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

and Nazareth counters with a two punch combo.
Smask walks into a straight right hand from Nazareth.
Smask shoots in but Nazareth avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Smask is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Nazareth keeping full guard, as Smask tries to pass.
Nazareth is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Smask controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Nazareth throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Nazareth avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Smask shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nazareth pinned against the cage. Nazareth gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Smask has his takedown stuffed

and Nazareth holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Nazareth pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Smask misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

and Smask counters by clinching up.
Smask is trying to drag Nazareth to the mat but Nazareth just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Nazareth's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Harry Smask seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nazareth lands a nice shot to the body.
Nazareth tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Smask is able to avoid easily.
A left lands for Nazareth.
Smask wants to clinch but Nazareth slips to the side
and Nazareth counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Nazareth tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Smask was well out of range. Poor timing from Nazareth.
Smask misses with a takedown attempt - Nazareth sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Nazareth thuds a left hand into Smask's body.
Nazareth cracks Smask with an open hand slap.

Nazareth has taken the fight to the clinch.

Nazareth has Smask pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Nazareth pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Smask tumbling to the mat - Nazareth dives into Smask's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nazareth passes Smask's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Smask is looking to improve his position.
Smask is staying active underneath Nazareth, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Nazareth content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Nazareth seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Smask does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jesus Nazareth wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Nazareth swings for the body but Smask moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Smask throws a head kick that misses.
Harry Smask is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Smask pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Nazareth throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Smask sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Smask shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Nazareth counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Nazareth tries to pass to full mount but Smask defends it.
Nazareth is trying to control the action in half guard but Smask is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Smask tries to kick Nazareth off in order to stand up. Nazareth Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Nazareth has hold of Smask's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Smask tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Nazareth cranks the arm and Smask screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Smask, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
