PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think James might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Black Betty. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Tommy Gunn!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunn lands a leg kick that knocks James off balance momentarily.
Gunn connects with a good right hand that stumbles James. James circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
James dodges the punch combination from Gunn.
Gunn works the jab nicely.
Danga de danga de dang - James scores with a four punch combination!
James on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Gunn lands a lovely overhand right.
James pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
James tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gunn was well out of range. Poor timing from James.
The fighters circling - James throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Gunn scores with a jab to the jaw.

Gunn closes the distance and clinches.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Gunn.

Gunn drops James with a big knee straight up the middle! James is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!

James is rocked!

It looks like Nick James has been cut.
James gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Gunn gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! James is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
