Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Meisner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dustin Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meisner pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Meisner tries to clinch there but Jackson circles away.

Meisner closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Meisner can't break the clinch.

Meisner pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Dustin Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Meisner moves into the clinch.
Meisner with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Meisner tries to circle away but Jackson has him pinned against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Meisner's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Jackson is trying to drag Meisner to the mat but Meisner just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Meisner wants to break the clinch but can't.
Meisner using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Jackson has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Meisner stops a takedown attempt from Jackson.
Jackson doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Jackson goes for a takedown in the clinch but Meisner prevents it.
James Meisner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dustin Jackson.
Meisner has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jackson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Meisner is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Meisner's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Meisner drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jackson gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Jackson has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Meisner regains guard immediately.
Meisner is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jackson is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Meisner throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Meisner pushes a forearm under Jackson's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Jackson is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). James Meisner!
