Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Corey Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, Marshall Mathers!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Alyssa Summers and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mathers dips to his left and cracks Sanchez with an uppercut!
Mathers lands a nice shot to the body.
Sanchez takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Sanchez misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Sanchez throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mathers.
Mathers ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Mathers cracks Sanchez with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Mathers throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sanchez stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Sanchez throws a head kick that misses.
Sanchez needs to keep his hands up - Mathers had a free shot at his head there.

Sanchez drives through and clinches with Mathers against the cage.
Mathers keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Sanchez's efforts to push away.
Sanchez has had enough of the clinch but Mathers keeps him there for the moment.
Sanchez tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Sanchez is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Mathers gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Sanchez throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Sanchez wants to break the clinch but can't.
Sanchez misses with a punch on the inside.

Mathers stuns Sanchez with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Sanchez is breathing heavily.

Sanchez throws a nice looking combination but Mathers bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sanchez throws a sloppy head kick and Mathers moves out of range easily.

Sanchez throws a front kick aimed at Mathers's knee but Mathers avoids it well.

Mathers cracks Sanchez with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Mathers connects with a body shot.
Mathers works Sanchez's body with a nice hook.
Sanchez walks into a left hand.
Mathers connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Mathers fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Sanchez takes one on the button.

Sanchez walks into a jab.
Mathers lands a body shot.
Sanchez takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Mathers is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Sanchez had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Mathers feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Sanchezs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Sanchez takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Mathers stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Mathers scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Sanchez looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Oh Sanchez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Sanchez seems to have got his legs back now.

Mathers uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Sanchez has time to react.
Sanchez walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Sanchez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Mathers lands with a hook. Sanchez tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Mathers throws out a powerful jab.
Mathers drops Sanchez with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Sanchez! Mathers dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
