Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Canton Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikro Sambochek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Canton Joe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mikro Sambochek!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Joe fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sambochek sprawls well initially but Joe persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Sambochek is looking for a sweep. Joe is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Sambochek really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Joe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Sambochek scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Joe manages to mount him!
Sambochek tries to lock up and control but Joe gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Sambochek wants to try and get back to his feet.
Joe punishing his opponent with strikes.
Sambochek tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Joe is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Sambochek has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Sambochek looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Joe controls the position.

Sambochek tries to escape but Joe has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Sambochek wants to get back to his feet.
Sambochek rolls, trying to escape but Joe keeps control of the position.
Sambochek looks gassed!
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Joe's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Joe working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Even with his hooks in, Joe manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Sambochek trying to control the hands but Joe won't let him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Joe keeps control of the position as Sambochek tries to break free.
Sambochek is trying to stand back up.
Joe trying to control momentarily.
Sambochek trying to control but not successfully.

Sambochek covering up well and avoiding damage.
Joe not allowing Sambochek to control his hands.
Sambochek tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Sambochek is wriggling around trying to escape.
Joe wants to control the pace but Sambochek is squirming around nicely.
Joe lands a big elbow.

Joe looking to control but Sambochek is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Sambochek is wriggling around trying to escape.
Joe throws some wild stikes that Sambochek manages to avoid easily.
Sambochek is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Sambochek is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Joe looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Joe takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Joe throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Sambochek!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Canton Joe dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Joe tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sambochek paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Joe looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Sambochek throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Joe is trying to control the action in half guard but Sambochek is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Sambochek tries to roll over but Joe keeps him under control.

Joe stands up from half guard.
Sambochek throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Joe's head.
Sambochek darts in trying to clinch

and Joe counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Sambochek!
Joe trying to control but Sambochek is having none of it.
Joe tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Sambochek is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Joe trying to control but Sambochek is having none of it.
Joe thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Joe has control of Sambochek's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Sambochek regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Sambochek can't escape the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Joe has hold of Sambochek's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Sambochek manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Joe gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Joe closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Sambochek is looking to reverse the position.
Joe has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Joe wants to control but Sambochek is keeping him busy.
You can see the frustration on Sambochek's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Joe tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Joe stands up and beckons Sambochek to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sambochek plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!


It looks like Canton Joe has been cut.
Sambochek tries to close the distance and clinch up but Joe swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Joe throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sambochek's waist but Sambochek gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Joe off to one side.
Sambochek tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Joe counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Sambochek!
Sambochek tries to hold on but Joe postures up.
Sambochek is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Joe is staying active.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Joe trying to control but Sambochek is having none of it.
Joe sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Joe tries to control but Sambochek wriggling away.
Joe could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Sambochek is in all sorts of trouble here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sambochek tries to control the position but Joe now has his back.
Joe tries to get the hooks in deep but Sambochek pushed the leg off.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Canton Joe dominated that second round.
The cut man is working on Canton Joe's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Sambochek throws a nice looking combination but Joe bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sambochek looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sambochek fails with an attempt to clinch.
Sambochek paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.


Joe is rocked!
Joe throws a body punch but Sambochek moves out of range.
Oh Joe is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Sambochek moves into the clinch.

Sambochek breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Joe avoids a punch combination nicely.
Joe misses with a right hand
and Sambochek counters with a big left hand that crumples Joe! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mikro Sambochek!
